| A detailed drapery combined with a plain roller shade, creates a fuller more interesting look to a wall. Notice drapes are usually hung close to the ceiling, and should have enough room on the right to hide all light and allow a full view from the window. Some drywall is surprisingly too weak to support anything, but ... usually, a drapery rod spans the complete wall. Since the drapery remains stationary, brackets can be placed where studs provide the most support. | ||

| Solar Shades are the Graber product name for "see through" roller shades. For this kind of a perfectly even artistic look: drapes are perfectly positioned and rarely shifted, with only roller shades providing some privacy. Its hard work to keep opening and closing rollers. Solve that with motorized. Plain rollers from a matching color tone should not compete with your elaborate drapes: which are are usually close to the floor. Shorter drapes are not preferable, except in high traffic areas where they might easily be stepped on in front of a door, or directly alongside a bed. Alternatively, top down bottom up cellulars provide more insulation at night and offer better privacy. Something really light colored in a double cell still provides light during the day and privacy with the best R value at night. | ||
